The most important element of the Preventive Care is Cleaning. If your teeth are in good condition, a Routine Cleaning is all that you need. It usually takes 45-60 min and comes complete with oral evaluation and polishing..

If your Oral Health has been challenged, you may need Deep Cleaning.  It is a more thorough procedure including work below your gum line. It is part of Preventive Care, in terms that it may prevent you from developing or aggravating Periodontal Disease, an inflammatory condition, which leads to tooth mobility and loss. Other examples of Preventive Care are Sealants (placing white material on the tooth surface to prevent cavities - important for children).

Preventive Care is a partnership between you and us - your doctor & crew. The aim is to preserve your natural dentition and supporting structures and keep them free from disease.

Your role in this partnership is to maintain good oral hygiene (brushing twice daily and flossing) and a balanced diet.  Our job is to give you a thorough exam, cleaning and comprehensive recommendations every time you come to see us.
